Actual screenshot — Automations → Missed-Call Text-Back setup screen
The Missed-Call Text-Back setup screen in Midpoint’s Automations section, showing an unchecked consent checkbox labeled "I understand that callers to my business may automatically receive a text message if I don’t answer their call, and I agree to enable this feature for my account," directly above a disabled "Continue" button.

Captured directly from the live app. The checkbox starts unchecked, and setup cannot be completed until the business owner actively checks it — enforced both in the interface and on our server.

Midpoint SMS Consent Disclosure

Last updated: August 31, 2026

This page describes Midpoint's actual, live SMS consent practice for the Missed-Call Text-Back feature, currently in effect — it is not a placeholder or draft.

Before this feature can be enabled on a business's account, the business owner must explicitly opt in during setup by checking a consent checkbox — left unchecked by default — confirming they understand and agree that a caller may automatically receive a text message if their call goes unanswered. Setup cannot be completed without this affirmative step, and the date and time it was checked is recorded against that business's account.

Once enabled, if someone calls that business and the call goes unanswered, they automatically receive one text message acknowledging the missed call.

Message frequency: At most one message per missed call. No recurring, marketing, or promotional messages are sent through this feature.

This message is sent as a direct response to the call and does not require a separate sign-up or keyword.

We do not sell, rent, or share mobile numbers with third parties for marketing purposes.

Message and data rates may apply.

Reply STOP to any message to opt out of future replies.
